Hosted in Grand Marais, Minnesota every April

Join us for this fun filled weekend tournament on April 13 & 14, 2024. Enjoy good volleyball and an exciting getaway in Grand Marais, MN with new and old friends. Players from Thunder Bay, Duluth and all places along the north shore compete in a fun filled tournament amongst friends as we welcome in the spring. The tournament is for adult recreational COED volleyball players catering to novice, intermediate and advanced skill levels. Registration opens on March 10th and closes on March 31st.

During the opening week of registration, only Funtime Volleyball members and six American entrants are eligible. Non-members will be added to a waiting list and notified if a slot becomes available on or after March 17, 2024.

This two-day tournament is on Saturday, April 13, 2024 and Sunday, April 14, 2024. Registration is by team, but we do have a solo player registration form here for players that don't have a team but would like to join a team if possible.

The registration fee is:

  • $360 CAD per Canadian Team

  • $300 USD per American Team

  • Number of teams: up to 16 teams

  • Divisions: Teams divided into two divisions: Advanced/Intermediate

  • Tournament Structure

    • Day 1 (Saturday): Round Robin, 45-minute matches, all teams may get up to 5 matches which is potentially 15 games.

    • Day 2 (Sunday): Seeded Consolation, Best 2 out of 3 games per match, all teams get a minimum of 2 matches (4-6 games) before potentially eliminated

  • Demographic: Adults only (18+)

  • Lunch: Yes, free lunch on Saturday only

  • Rules: Games are self regulated and follow the same rules as Funtime Volleyball​. You and all players on your team must be 18 years or older. This is a Canadian Reverse COED 6 tournament with a maximum of 3 male players on the court per team.

  • Prize Money/Awards: Winners of each division receive trophies and a small cash prize. Winners of Consolation brackets win medals and a small cash prize. Money winnings are distributed between 8 of the 16 teams (not necessarily the top 8). All money winnings will be in Canadian dollars.

  • Registration Fee*
